INFORMATIONAL NOTICE OF BOARD MEETING CHANGE
In accordance with the Ohio Revised Code, notice is hereby given that the Northwest Local Board of Education is changing masking requirements for the community starting with the June 7, 2021 Board meeting.
On June 2nd, Governor DeWine lifted all COVID-19 restrictions for all Ohioans. In his recent announcement, DeWine stated that businesses and schools should continue carrying out their COVID guidelines, as they see fit, in order to ensure the safety of staff and students.
Effective June 2nd - July 31st, the following changes regarding NWLSD’s Mask Requirement Guidelines for staff, students and visitors will go into effect. As we near the start of the upcoming school year, we will continue to communicate changes to our guidelines and protocols:
- Unvaccinated individuals are required to wear face coverings in shared office spaces or common areas at all times, including during Board meetings.
As we begin our efforts to return to normalcy, we encourage our staff and visitors to continue safety practices like daily screening, cleaning, hand washing and social distancing. Chairs will continue to be spaced during our Board meetings.
Remember, Board meetings will no longer stream live via Facebook and all Community Comments will be in person. The Northwest Board of Education regular meetings can be seen LIVE on Spectrum Channel 4, Fioptics Channel 854 and online at www.waycross.tv/northwest.
